Our Funeral Celebrant Training courses are designed for anyone who is interested in understanding about the role of a celebrant, the process of the funeral service, and in helping people in a very difficult time of need to personalise and design a beautiful and fitting end of life ceremony for their loved one.

Terri Shanks is a highly experienced Wedding & Funeral Celebrant having conducted over 3000 ceremonies. Her personal training saw her travelling the globe to study under some of the world’s leading Celebrants, Bereavement Specialists & Celebrant Trainers. Terri was also fortunate to attend the first ever International Convention of Celebrants in America.
Course Leader and Training Manager for Scotland
Lita spent over 30 years working in the public and voluntary sectors; initially as a teacher; with a PGCE degree after achieving a BSc, and then as a safeguarding coordinator; with a CQSW degree, a Social Care Manager; with a Management Qualification, and during that time was a consultant and trainer; with a Training the Trainer Qualification.
James Mooney Dutton
James enjoys helping families to create ceremonies that are meaningful and reflective and has taught music and held the post of Director of Music at several different churches. As a teacher and educator he is delighted to be able to combine all these skills; bringing them to the Fellowship as a member of the training team. James went on to train both as a funeral and family and marriage celebrant with the Fellowship
